Mum-Tested Tips And Tricks For The Growing Little Learners

As parents, we worry about children’s development and learning ability as they grow. Creative expression plays a central role in toddlers' learning & development. Letting children express themselves creatively gives them another ‘language’ with which they can express their thoughts, feelings and ideas. To be honest I don't have time with my kids round the clock but when I do we try to come up with some activities, even the simplest ones, be it play or create.

Here are some simple ideas:

Aspire to Be an Architect

Help your toddler discover a talent for architectural design! Visit your favorite playground or play area, and evaluate what your lil' one loves most about it. What equipment does he/she enjoy the most? Can he/she come up with a new type of slide? Or what could make the playground more interesting/fun? Use these visits and conversations to inspire your toddler to design an original mini home playground or swing set. Start with drawing paper and have your toddler illustrate diagrams and plans with specific placement of each piece of equipment. You may also help to draft as your toddler describes what he/she imagines. Then create a visual representation using cardboard, straws, toilet paper, and paper towel rolls.

Ace With Shapes And Colours

Your toddler’s brain is quickly forming new connections which allows for more complicated mental processing and motor functions. The more you stimulate these connections, the stronger they become. Every action, thought and expression from your toddler involves a specific set connections and is strengthened via repeated usage. With every new skill your toddler masters, the connections in the brain gets stronger, laying a foundation to be built on. Puzzle play helps to develop small muscle movements and dexterity in their hands and fingers. While developing fine motor skills, playing with puzzles requires children to learn to make their eyes and hands work together to find the right piece.

Form a Family Book Club

It is always a good habit to have some book-time everyday. Choose age-appropriate books and ask questions for discussion about the characters, plots, themes, and settings. This makes book time a little more interesting for your toddler with simple brainstorming time, and also stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. It helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word.

Besides keeping my kids busy with creative activities, it has also been a priority for us as parents to fulfill my child's nutrition intake. By now my girls are eating many of the same foods as the rest of the family, and Fayth is still on her favorite formula milk. As a grown toddler, Fayth is also continuing to develop her own food preferences. Here's a brief look on how we continue to make sure she gets the nourishment she needs to fuel her growth and development.

Remembering that these are prime habit-forming years;

we try our best to introduce and stick to healthful habits even though it's not easy,
we believe that our efforts are well worth it.

Variety is smart;

keeping meals interesting and ensure that our girls are getting the full range of nutrients they need, from each of the basic food groups every day and expose them to a wide range of flavors. Remember to keep everything in moderation.

You are a role model at the dinner table;

I am probably the biggest role model at home because I always eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and a variety of healthful foods in general. Hoping that one day they'll be much more likely to eat that way, too.

Make desserts a treat, not an everyday indulgence;

choosing snacks and treats that are healthy, or rather low in sugar and salt.
And avoid excessively sweet, processed foods with refined sugar.
DHA, you never outgrow the need for it;
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid) is one of the good fats found in the body. Its job is to go straight to tissues, like those in the brain, and keep them functioning to the best of their ability. Fayth has been drinking Enfamil A+ Stage 2 and now that she's three years old, she is move on to Enfagrow A+ Stage 4. Enfagrow A+ Stage 4 is scientifically formulated with 360° DHA PLUS, which is a unique blend of nutrients that are important for overall mental and physical development, which I guess is what all of us parent wants for our child.
Frankly speaking how we chanced upon Enfamil A+ Stage 2 was purely out of luck. When she wouldn't stop crying no matter how hard I tried to feed her for an hour straight before bedtime. I decided to supplement her with formula just to fill her up a little, and at the brand was Enfamil A+ Stage 2.

We never once thought to change her formula because everything was going smoothly for her, and us. She didn't suffer from any constipation nor "heatiness" which I heard some brands may cause such symptoms. I only knew last year after doing some research when I had my second child, that Enfamil A+ Stage 2  has the highest amount of AA+DHA, and corresponds to the lowest price per AA+DHA. (Link to my previous blog post: https://vannytelly.blogspot.com/2018/03/infant-formula-milk-review-price.html)
Everyone has different parenting styles and beliefs, but I think ultimately health is wealth!

How I Keep My Kids Safe with Cleaner Air for a Healthier Home

I remember when we had Fayth (my first born), that was the time the haze-days had peaked. Hubs and I were pretty desperate to get something for the baby to keep the air clean. She was having pretty bad eczema at one point and we were trying to keep her face and the house clean because we knew that dust and dirt would worsen her condition. Plus if you remember, how bad the haze period was? I felt like I was walking around Genting!

Dirt Which You Can't See

Do you know what's more scary than dirt & dust? It's the kind of pollution that we can't see!!! Are you aware that even when you can't see haze and dust they're still floating around  everywhere? I'm referring to micro-particles and pollutants that may result in more bad air quality at home than outdoors! I really didn't know this in detail until recently, but I'm feeling more at ease now because I have invested in a really good purifying fan for the family. Let me share a little more on this as it’s informative for everyone, especially parents who're concerned about their children's well-being.

What Are the Pollution Sources at Home?

  • Outdoor air pollution: Sources such as tree pollen and city pollution can enter the home and may remain trapped there.
  • Pollen: Plants and flowers can release microscopic pollen into the air. Sometimes they get into our homes or are trapped onto hair and we bring them into the home.
  • Pet hair: Cats, dogs and other household pets can spread some kind of microscopic material around the home.
  • Scented candles: Some chemical substances found in scented candles can release benzene and formaldehyde (chemicals/pollutants) into the air as they burn.
  • Furniture foam: Foam that can be found in furniture can release formaldehyde gas.
  • Indoor paints: Some indoor paints may release gaseous chemicals when they dry and also potentially throughout their life.
  • Air fresheners: Some household air fresheners can contain volatile organic compounds and benzene, which can be released with the fragrance when sprayed.
  • Gas hobs and cooking fumes: Gas hobs and the food cooking process itself can emit fumes, odours and particles into the air.
  • Cleaning products: Household cleaning products can contain benzene and household fumes and odours.
  • Carpets, rugs and flooring: Some carpets, rugs, flooring and their backing materials can emit formaldehyde when new and potentially throughout their life.
Basically it's A LOT of common things in our daily lives that may be causing air pollution in our homes. I'm sure many of you are like me and weren’t really aware of all these sources of pollution. It can start to get pretty worrying once you know all these facts, but it also feels good to have the knowledge to protect our loved ones.

Our Little Ones Suffer From It All

Children react more sensitively to what is happening around them, so the little ones can often suffer more when it comes to air pollution. Poor quality air can be linked to a whole range of issues in children causing anything from sneezing and itchy eyes right through to lung infections and even asthma.

How Do I Provide Cleaner Air for My Kids?

Two years ago the first versions of Dyson purifying fan was launched and hubs was excited over it so we got one for Fayth’s room when she was still a baby and we loved it!
Now they’ve launched their brand new purifier, the Dyson Pure Cool and we were lucky enough to get the chance to try it out.
As the girls are now a bit older we placed the Dyson Pure Cool within their play area where they spend a lot of their time. Besides being a powerful air purifier, I really love that it is blade-less and safe because you should see how my kids are around fans. They can be found constantly meddling with it, gosh!

Functions Of The (All New) Dyson Pure Cool™ Purifiying Fan

Dyson’s unique air purifier has a LCD display which reveals pollutants in the home in real time, and reacts automatically using a unique Dyson algorithm.
I love how it easily cools the room thanks to its unique Air Multiplier™ technology. It absorbs and cleans the air and projects purified air all throughout the room. And while it can swing back and forth up to 350 degrees (compared to the old unit which swings up to 180 degrees), I love how it is quiet which is very suitable for the kids while they are asleep. I can even use the night-mode which uses its quietest airflow settings. This means that while the machine continues to monitor and respond to changes in air quality to keep the room purified, my baby, who is a light sleeper, can still enjoy a really good sleep.

Built-In LCD Screen As Your Smart Friend: What It Shows

Compared to my old unit, this latest model is bigger (yet is still very sleek) and has more functions. It has built-in LCD screen that shows the current indoor air quality. Aside from that, I was amazed by the fact that it can show particle pollution as small as 0.1 microns (including pollens and dust in the room!)  that is being captured through its HEPA filters.

You can still attach the remote to the top of the fan with magnetic surface, which was something I really liked. No frantic searching for the remote – parents you all know how messy our homes with kids can get!

Impressive New Filters

One of the most important changes to the Dyson Pure Cool is that it comes with new and improved filters.  The filtration system is made up of two key components, glass high-efficiency particulate (HEPA) filters which capture up to 99.95 per cent of microscopic allergens and pollutants and activated carbon filters which remove any harmful gases that are lurking around.
What’s even better is that once the purifier has effectively captured all these nasties it then projects clean air into every corner of the room, meaning I can leave my kids to play safe in the knowledge that they’re in a healthy environment.

Smarter With Smart Apps

What's a smart home appliance without its own app which you can use to directly control it from your mobile phone? The Dyson Link app allows youtomonitor the air quality inside your home – anywhere anytime!
Downloading and connecting the fan to Wi-Fi was a breeze. You can start assessing the quality of the air at home immediately, setting different locations/rooms to track analysis which can then be shown as a trend on a weekly or daily basis.
You can also pre-set the purifier to work even when you're not at home. That way, you can start to cleanse the air in your children's room before they return home from school. Sometimes, when I'm on the couch watching TV and the kids are playing in their play area, all I have to do is turn the app on my mobile phone on and I'll be able to control the purifier from where I'm sitting.
I'm definitely sold on the latest model mainly because of the upgraded functions of the 350° oscillation which allows us to cleanse the entire room. Plus I also love the smart functions & technology – with just one app I can not only control the purifier itself, but I can also track the readings of the "unseen" pollution in the heart of our home.
The Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan is truly a must-have for homes especially for us parents with young kids! It’s smartness made convenient keeping our home safe for the whole family!
Now I'm considering another set for my in law's place. Hahaha...

If you're keen to find out more or purchase the Dyson Pure Cool™ purifying fan, you may check this link out shop.dyson.com.sg, or test the fans out at major departmental and electrical stores from late May 2018.

That's all for today & I hope you liked my review for the day. Do feel free to leave comments in the comment box below if you have any question/s regarding the topic and I'll try my best to answer them if it's not already stated in my blog above. Stay tuned for more reviews, bye~! ; )

Family Photography By Picspirations Photography_Hope Turns One Cake Smash Photoshoot!

Have you heard of cake smash photography? A cake smash is where a one-year-old gets very messy with a cake and a professional photographer captures the moment. Cake smash photography seems to have caught the trend in the last few years and of course I wanted my baby, Hope, to give it a go. Didn't do it for her older sister, Fayth, back then 'cuz I was still "suaku" (aka not in trend) but lately cake smash has almost became a norm.

I planned for a cake smash session with Picspirations Photography, along with a family shoot to make up for one that was a disaster previously. It is definitely easier to shoot with the family when your baby is a little older. Saying this 'cuz previously Baby H. was only 3 months old.. we had to time her feedings and the interval she was awake was alot shorter. With her very mischievous toddler sister, going crazy on set didn't help smoothen the shoot... But I'm very very happy with this latest shoot. Let's see some of our photos, starting with Baby H's cake smash pictures!

This was taken a few weeks before her first birthday. Alexandria (photographer) advised for us to do the cake smash shoot around 11th month old because baby doesn't walk yet and it'll be much easier to manage. I chose the theme to be in pastels.. 'Cuz girl ma... lols. I don't know, pastels are my top colour choices when it comes to baby stuff.. Just too pretty to resist!

We actually did the cake smash at the last part of the shoot 'cuz it was gonna be the messiest part. After that can bathe and pack up.. But I decided to show this segment first 'cuz its the highlight of the shoot!! I was REALLY SURPRISED with how gentle she was with the cake. She's a BLW (baby-led weaning) baby FYI.. and a rather greedy one (look at her tum-tum!). Hahaha.. I pictured her to attack the cake and feast on it but turns out she was just sitting infront of the cake staring at it.

Alexandria was really helpful in terms of giving advises for preparation.. The step-by-step prep advises she sent via email was really useful but this Mama forgot about some parts.. Alex actually did advise about showing and letting baby try cake before the shoot, just to let them be familiar with this new food. I totally forgot so when it came to the shoot day she didn't "recognize" the cake as food. We had to stimulate a smash and let her taste it before she even got into action. Ok lah, it was not bad too just that I was really surprised by her. Alex says Baby H. was probably one of the cleanest baby of her cake smash shoot babies. Hurhur....

I got my theme inspiration from Mr. G.. as usual.. Wanted something pink, tutu, girly, viola~ Not difficult to come up with this. Well our shoot was not as glamorous as the above but it turned out just as great! I wanted a classic naked-baby look which I think some parents might be conservative of. But she's a baby, definitely looks cutest in the tutu-only get up.. And I was right! Haha.. Please hor don't try to steal my photos ah.. Report you!!! *hymppph*

Besides knowing the theme you want, the colour of the outfit and backdrop, the next important thing to prep is the cake. The cake I have here is a basic cake from Charlotte Grace Cakeshop which cost only $20!!!! Super cheap!!! And the bunting cost me extra $5 which is optional. It is less sweet so it's a great first-cake for baby. I tried it after the shoot, really doesn't taste much.. I chose a simple single-coloured cream cake with rose frostings. Simple and suits our theme pretty much. Oh yes the cake was about 8" if I'm not wrong.

Simple, classic set up.

This taken before the cake smash segment.. Alex took solo shots of the girls and both the sisters together. Love her cheeky smile here, such a sweetheart.

If you like the outfits I prepped for the shoot, you may check out at the end of this blog.. I'm sure many of you would want to know so I've penned it down below.

Check out out family outfit. Me likey!! And especially the customized matching headbands. So cute! The girls had this bunny-floral headband but Mummy had to stay feminine so I had the matching flowers minus the bunny ears. Our headbands were from HandmadeByAnneKate and the family wear was from XoxoJoy. Links on where I got them are below, check it out later!

You know this shot above is isn't exactly a planned shot? We were just hanging out after Baby H's cake smash segment and Alex started snapping a few pictures of us. I guess sometimes unplanned moments are the better ones? Besides that I want to share something. Actually I didn't look like this in the photo above. While I was choosing the photos I actually really like this picture but I was like super extra looking at the camera while everyone else was looking at Fayth. I think Alex saw how much I wanted this photo so she offered to help photoshop my head away.. Hahahaha.. Like I literally chose my "head" from another picture that had a more natural position and fixed it onto this pic.. Then it turned out like that. Really awesome PS skills!! Thanks Alex for the service and skills!!

Alex was really great to work with.. in terms of pre-shoot liaising, helping/advising on prepping prior to the shoot, everything was a breeze.. All I had to do was prep our outfits, the cake, and turned up on time. I had to send in photos for Baby H's first birthday party at Pororo Park days after the shoot and Alex also managed to send me the photos I needed on time so that the party planners could print them up on her birthday board. She was also great with my kids and was able to get both their attention pretty well. This is definitely a plus point 'cuz otherwise it'll be chaotic!! Alex is a mother herself so she definitely know a thing or two on how to play with and entertain the little ones.

The photo selection process was also a breeze.. I chose to meet her at Trehaus (some where in town) because it was nearer for me 'cuz I'm all the was from the West.. She usually offers another location which is her studio at Kallang area. Photo selection was done over her iPad where she presented a video slideshow of the photos from out shoot and gave it to me at the end of the session. Alex is really friendly and nice to work with, I assure! Please ah, I'm not saying this 'cuz I'm sponsored. I can be sponsored but if service is terrible I'll still sound it out because I'll only recommend what's good k!

Lastly I was given this little wooden box with a wooden USB drive in it that says "Picspirations Photography" with the photos I selected stored in it. It's a little keep sake Alex gives to all her clients after the photoshoot to keep our memories in. Love it to bits. Thank you Alex for the shoot, as well as everything through the short journey from prepping til the end. My Hubby and I enjoyed the shoot and love the photos. Def. recommend! : D

Birthdays At Pororo Park Singapore! Baby Hope Turns One!

Hey guys, I know my blog has been super outdated from not updating for the past month. I’ve been swarmed with work, more work, and Mummy duties it’s crazy. But however crazy it can get I’ll still definitely make time for my baby girl’s first birthday. The last time I planned a party for my older girl’s first birthday was entirely on my own and done at home with mostly relatives. Woah I can tell you the amount of things I had to plan, come up with and prep was super tedious. I wanted to hold a DIY party ‘cuz I was inspired by Budget Barbie (Bong Qiu Qiu) back then where she had an episode sharing how to DIY all the decor and dessert table for a birthday party. (Read about my DIY party planning here) To be honest, it can be done and done up with a smaller budget but you just gotta judge for yourself whether the amount of effort is worth the exchange for your time. After going through that tedious DIY and planning the last time, I’ve decided this time round to go with something easier. Being a Mumpreneur and a mother of two I really wanted to have a fuss free planning for Baby H’s birthday. After looking at several options I finally settled with none other than Pororo Park!

Give you guys a sneak peak of our super pretty family photo taken at the party.
Look at the backdrop and the dessert table... makes the whole set up so pretty and IG worthy!

I’ll be taking you guys a walk through the party package offered by Pororo Park.
But first you’ll need a party invite - come on in!

Before I move on just to highlight that there are 3 time slots offered at Pororo Park for the birthday parties. Late morning, early afternoon and early evening slot. I took the afternoon slot ‘cuz I knew my Mummy friends mostly wouldn’t be able to make it on time for the morning one.. hahaha.. and true enough they all voted for the 2nd option. But I did hear that the first slot is apparently the most popular one b’cuz the park will be most empty so you’d be able to get lots of photos taken.. besides that also have the park to yourselves for the first part of the session. But anyways those options are available for you to decide yea.

The party started officially at 1:30pm and soon came the Pororo show 30 minutes later. Was supposed to have abit of time for free play but mostly ended up settling down ‘cuz hor my Mummy friends were late lah! Oops* We were invited into Tong Tong's Little Theatre first before it was open to the public - yes the Pororo show is open to public and shows 4 times a day. I.e. 12pm, 2pm, 4pm & 6pm -It's different shows/activities during weekends & weekdays and a must-watch ‘cuz kids really enjoy the song and dance. I didn’t capture photos of Hope (my baby) during the show ‘cuz it was dark so I only managed to film her down. Her expression was priceless ‘cuz she totally jaw dropped the entire time. Lols! Oh yes please head on to my IG (@Vannytelly) to watch the entire party on video via my IG highlights. You will see how fun the party was and how everyone of us enjoyed our day there.

Singing and dancing to "Baby Shark". Was a great warm up 'cuz literally EVERYONE there was dancing to the song.
Who doesn't know this song right?

After the public Pororo show we stayed back in the theatre for a private session of songs, dance and games. The party host initiated 2 of Baby H’s fav songs; "Baby Shark" and "If You’re Happy And You Know". I enjoyed the first song ‘cuz it was so fun dancing along to the Baby Shark movements, but Baby H. was quite blur. Haha. Just take it as a warm up. B’cuz after that she was jumping up and down when we sang her true blue fav song. Really super cute you have to watch my IG highlights!!

See her stoned and blur face. 2pm was supposed to be her nap time but then with all the excitement going around she juz couldn't miss it.

Initially I was worried about her missing her nap or getting cranky from being tired but shortly after she got warmed-up all I saw was smiles and laughter coming from her. So happy it went on well!!

The party host was really great at entertaining all the babies and even us Mummies. I wasn't told of the games that were gonna be played but really, it was all fun & enjoyable! We started with some bubble play, and as you can see below how excited Baby H. was.. So cute!!

One of my fav photos, how dreamy!

The older kids and were all having fun too. Who doesn't love bubbles right?

After we were done with bubbles play, we were given wipes to clean our hands and also the hands of our little ones - how thoughtful! What's a birthday party without balloons right?? The bubs & kiddos went crazy over the balloons.. I loved how they babies could have fun with each other while Mummies just relaxed, sit back to watch their little ones have fun. That's the whole point of having a party host right?

We had a third and final game for the afternoon, a baby race! Ahh too bad I did not get a snap shot of that 'cuz I was in the race with Baby H! Haha.. same thing, watch the race on my IG highlights.. She was crying from the start b'cuz she just couldn't wait to get to Mama. Haha so cute and poor thing at the same time. The baby who wins the race would get a tiara, and obviously it was intended for the birthday girl. She was actually leading but half way thru got really distracted 'cuz all of us Mummies were just screaming away to get the attention of our babies. Was damn funny.

Her "boyfriend" Baby A. won the race but he was so sweet to help Baby H. put on the birthday tiara.. More like Baby A's Mom helped put it on, was equally sweet lah. Lols. Look at my baby girl, completed her princess look with the pink tiara.

My princess...

After all the songs, dance and games, of course all of us were hungry so it was time for lunch/tea break! The Kiddos had their own kids setting and lunch which I had pre-selected.

My big baby enjoyed her lunch/tea break and so did all her friends. I "stole" a chocolate cupcake after the party, wahhh there was liquid chocolate oozing out of it. Super yums can!

One thing to note; if you intend to cater buffet for your guests, the food has to be ordered thru the external caterer that Pororo Park works with. Anyway it'll be less work for you to go sourcing around for a buffet caterer.. For me b'cuz of the "meal time" I chose to have a specially quoted high tea set instead. You may check with the party planners on what there is to be offered and if like me you have some special concerns on the food menu, or even other concerns, I'm sure they'll be able to offer something suitable. The party planners are really friendly, so were all the park crew. It was a breeze to liaise on the planning when I met them as well as the follow-ups thru email. Thumbs up on service!

The best fours having lunch together, so cute. I remembered growing up having besties all b'cuz of my Mom 'cuz she'd always take me out with her BFF and daughter. Am also making new memories for Fayth having besties in her early childhood days. So as for Baby H!

I really loved this arrangement for a birthday party 'cuz parents get to chill and eat at the same time while the bubs play, crawl or hang around the room. Damn relaxed..

Haha playboy Baby A. checking Jie Jie E. out. Playboy 'cuz Mummy of Baby A. always calls this little hamsome that! Haha. Please huh otherwise I wouldn't just anyhow call other babies a playboy lah!!

Before we cut the cake I wanna haolian the pretty dessert table. Hahahahaha.. Okay to be honest the dessert table is very very simple, but its the entire set up which is done nicely along with the back drop, decor, balloons and birthday board that makes it so IG-worthy! Chio right?? In my previous blog post where I did a simple DIY dessert table, looks no where close to this. And best part I don't have to plan or do a single thing!! Big thanks to the team of Pororo Park!! When I arrived early to change they were busy setting up the room, thanks for the hard work, you guys did great!

"You Mei You" (have or not)?? So "Ke Ai" (cute) right?? Hehe!! They still set up a high chair with Baby H's name on it. But end up I didn't use it 'cuz I was carrying her all thru. Clingy baby cannot let go of  Mama!! Haha.. Ok lah partly 'cuz it was wayyyyy past her nap time so I didn't put her down in case she got really cranky.

Oh yes just to share, all birthday cakes have to be ordered thru Pororo Park who ties up with a designated baker. There are 4 flavors of birthday cake to be chosen from and I ordered the Strawberry Shortcake even though Chocolate was recommended b'cuz there are real strawberries in the cake! Yums! The cake was really cute and there's a couple of designs/sizes to choose from. You can choose to customise the cake in terms of the name and colour theme and/or character. I liked the cake 'cuz it was moist 'nuff and not too sweet! Great as a first cake for babies! I had about 20 plus guests (including adults, kids & babies) and at the end of the party I was left with about a fifth of the cake, so this size was just right. I tapao-ed (packed) the cake home but the next day my Mom cleared it for her breakkie.. LOLs!

Happy First Birthday Baby H!! Awwww looks at her squinting smile. Super cute!!!
Daddy, Mummy and Jie Jie loves you to the moon and back! *MuaCksss*

Did you spot a familiar face? Pororo came to say "Hi"! The kids went crazy when this special guest arrived in the room. See my older girl just eyeing Pororo with that look, hahahahaha...!!! He came all the way just to gift a prezzie to the birthday girl. Thank you Pororo! He also stayed back to have photos taken with all the kiddos, how nice!!

My family. #love
My Mom traveled all the way from Taipei for her party. It was Mother's Day so Happy Mother's Day to all Mummies! You're great!! Love you Mom, and "Mother".. Haha, my MIL lah..

"Thank you Uncles, Aunties, Jie Jies, Kor Kor and Friends for coming to my first birthday party. It was a blast! Thank you for the birthday wish video too! Please go to my Mummy's IG highlights to watch the videos of my party k. And sorry Yiyis if some of you either looked like you were blocked by baby or eye not open b'cuz it was so hard to get a coordinated photo. My Mummy told me this was the best shot she had already. Thank you!! Hehe."

"Thank you Yiyis & dear friends for your prezzies & ang paos, do remember my to bring a pack of goody bag home k?"

Okay one last photo after the cake cutting before Baby H. comatose. Her nap was supposed to be 2pm but she managed to tahan (bear) until 3:30pm (1.5 hours delayed). After that she comatose b'cuz she was damn shag. But we really had a great afternoon 'cuz she wasn't cranky at all even though she was super lacked of sleep. Thinking back I still feel so happy that the party went really well. This baby hor so funny look at the photos above with her tongue sticking out. Her 5th & 6th tooth was sprouting so she kept doing this, so funny lah!

After an hour of nap in my baby carrier, Baby H. woke up fresh and I took both girls for a dip in the Shark Ball Pool. Wait why shark, where's the shark you ask? See pic below k.. Now Mummy just reliving some childhood memories can. Hahahaha. Before we left I went for a few rounds of slide at Poby's Play Gym with these two, really super fun! (If you don't know what Poby's Play Gym is, will be showing a picture of that below) No photos of  us sliding lah 'cuz how to have so much fun when busy taking photos.. Video have lah not photos.. Watch my IG highlights k!!

There you go.. Shark Pool! Fayth's friends dived into the ball pit like a hundred times, play until siao (go crazy).. Hahaha.. Kids will be kids, when they get to play everything else becomes non-existent.

Don't forget about the train ride at Pororo Park k! The Pororo Express runs few times a day with specific timings, a must-ride! Look at Fayth's excited look, waving back at me every round. The kids have to sit without parents but there will be a crew attending to them while the train ride in on-going to ensure the safety of the kids. Apparently babies who can sit unsupported are allowed to take the ride as well, provided you baby wants to. My friend's baby got to ride the train. so brave! Baby H. was super clingy, I tried to put her beside Jie Jie but she just wouldn't let go. *Face Palm*

That kind of sums up our day at Pororo Park.. I hope you've had a good glimpse of how a birthday celebration at Pororo Park looks like. Let me take you thru the rest of the park that I've missed earlier on.

Here's Loopy's Cafe where parents can grab a light snack or a proper lunch and chill while waiting for your kiddos. Or kiddos have some bites to recharge from all that play.

From top (clockwise):(1) Hinoki Play Area - Hinoki wood is from South Korea and are known to have aromatic and relaxing benefits on the body. Pororo Park is also the first & only in Singapore to have Hinoki Play Area!
(2) Petty's Supermarket - the kiddos can play masak (cooking) and grocery shopping here,
(3) Eddy's Classroom - Eddy’s Classroom & tong tong’s little theatre is where birthday parties happen during the weekends. For weekdays: there are coloring sheets and simple Motor skill play for kids and their daily classes happens in the classroom as well.

Top: Shark's Pool
Bottom: Pororo's House - there's literally a bedroom in it!

Bottom: Poby's Play Gym

Before you leave you can get your little ones some Pororo merchandises at Rody's Toy Store (aka the merchandise corner). Especially if they can't bear to leave the park. There's cute plushies and also fun toys with activities for your kids. Check them out!

So that's all for the tour today. Hope you enjoyed it. Say buh-bye to Pororo and friends!

Hahahaha my Mom forced me to help her take a picture with Baby H's birthday board. We get to bring this personalised birthday board home, which I love so much!! So gonna put this up somewhere in her room's wall. Please anyone if you know where I can get a frame for this, drop me a comment yea. Thanks in advance!

If you haven't been to Pororo Park, I think my tour today would have been a nice preview of what you'd get to do with your little ones there. But of course you have to drop by and experience for yourself with your babies/kiddos - I'm sure you will enjoy yourselves!! Here's why families love Pororo Park.. OMG I just saw free Wifi.. Lugi!! (short-changed myself) Hahaha.. I didn't know otherwise I would have tapped on to upload my IG stories that day. Haha nvm lah will remember the next time now that I know it's available. Speaking of it I do know of friends who bring their kids (that are a little older) to the park, work on their laptop at the cafe while the kids play along. I don't know for you Mummies but I think its a great idea leh especially for Mumprenuers or those with flexi working hours like me. Maybe I'll try this the next time I need to rush out a blog post when its #MummyDutiesDay hehe.. Then again, remember to get an annual pass or even an unlimited pass if you really intend to go often.. 'cuz it'll definitely be more worth it! Check out below for my promo code yea.. You're welcome. *wink*
